Is DealDatabase free?
Yes. Every deal in the database is free to read in full, with no account: the advising firms and their roles, the lawyers on each team, disclosed values, clients and counterparties, with a link to the original announcement.
What do I need a free account for?
A free account lets you submit your deals and follow their status from your dashboard, and claim your lawyer or firm profile.
What do the paid plans add?
Scale and analysis. Complete deal histories for any firm or lawyer with full filtering, analytics such as deals by year and sector, frequent co-counsel, opposing counsel and repeat clients, market share views labelled by announced deals, deal alerts by law firm, lawyer, sector, deal type and jurisdiction, CSV and Excel export, and custom reports.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Create a free account, then send a Pro request from this page. We email you the plan options with a payment link or an invoice, usually within one working day. Once payment is received we switch your account to Pro and email you to confirm. You keep the same account and sign in as usual.
How much do the paid plans cost?
Professional is $99 a month for one person. Team is $350 a month for five people. Both are billed annually. Need more than five licences? Ask us.
How do exports work?
Export any search, or any firm or lawyer history, to CSV or Excel. Professional includes up to 1,000 rows a day and Team up to 5,000 rows a day. Exports are for internal use by your organisation.
What is a custom report?
A report our team prepares for you from the database, for example every announced deal in one sector and region with the firms that advised. Tell us what you need using the form on this page and we confirm the scope and timing before we start.
